In 2018, the Alpine regions along the major transit corridors continued their cooperation to shape a common policy framework. Again, the network put a strong focus on lobbying for Toll Plus at European level and 2018 can be seen as milestone for the iMONITRAF! coordination: four out of five specific proposals of the iMONITRAF! resolution on Toll Plus are now reflected in the current version of the revised Eurovignette Directive (as agreed by the European Parliament in Oct. 2018). Furthermore, iMONITRAF! has launched a review of innovative technologies to check the role of future technology driven trends for the iMONITRAF! strategy in order to align the specific policies and flanking measures with the new developments. An overview on networking activities, the review on innovative technologies and further topics are summarized in the Annual Report 2018 of iMONITRAF!. It gives an overview on recent Best Practices related to freight and passenger transport, on relevant transport and environmental indicators and sets the agenda for further discussions. We invite you to take a look at this Annual Report to keep you up-to-date on developments of the network.
