Lebenswert Gesundheit: Vom Ein- und Abschalten der Gene
MetadataShow full item record
“Crispr-Cas9, a complicated name for arguably the most important achievement of gene technology in recent years. With the so-called gene-scissors, which allows even the finest changes in the genome of living things, suddenly everything seems possible: to program crops at one’s convenience as well as the eradication of malaria or the cure of AIDS. But experts warn against exaggerated expectations and foremost against the risks of misuse of the technology. A change in the human germline could have unforeseeable consequences and would burden all future generations. We interviewed three experts from the Eurac Institute for Biomedicine in Bolzano: Director Peter Pramstaller, molecular biologist Irene Pichler and bioethicist Deborah Mascalzoni.” Design and presentation: Markus Laimer http://www.raibz.rai.it/feed.php?id=22 © RAI 2015 - tutti i diritti riservati.
