Abstract
The Data Collection Guidelines (DCG) is the central document delineating a common baseline for the collection of research data during the MATILDE project. DCG defines guidelines for preparing and conducting data collection activities that take place in WP3, 4, 5 and 6 providing templates, minimum requirements, time scheduling and allocating responsibilities. It aims at coherence and harmonization of the data collection in different WPs, therefore contributing to the good quality of outcomes and limiting the emergence of unforeseen risks. DCG draws from Data Management Plan (DMP) regarding the handling of different type of data in order to meet at the same time ethical requirements during and after theproject and open access requirements after the project, taking from DMP details on the sharing, storage, archiving, and preservation of these data, as well as data security. It draws also from Deliverable 2.1 on geographical/spatial categorization and TCNs distribution regarding MATILDE regions, which represent the scales of study for the data collection.
The templates provided in the Data Collection Guidelines aim at easing the writing of connected deliverables in WP3-4-5-6 regarding research design, and will be complemented by more specific data collection guidelines defined in each WP, and MATILDE matrix and tools for data collection provided in D2.6 and D2.7. The Data Collection Guidelines is identified as MATILDE Deliverable 2.5. It is an internal document to be released in M6.
