Abstract
The DAMADEI project connected professionals at the cutting edge of design with new materials technologies through a Europe-wide platform.
The DAMADEI (Design and Advanced Materials as a Driver of European Innovation) project set out to unlock the potential of technology in three main ways:
* The creation of an online platform allowing design professionals and businesses to pool information on new technologies and their producers. With an interactive map to ease navigation, over 150 businesses were listed in its directory
* A travelling about the potential of advanced materials featuring over 40 matierals. Held in Barcelona, Copenhagen, London and Prague, the impact of the exhibition was reinforced by organisation of local workshops
* The project report - written for designers, the report maps the design sector and provide examples of how material design be transformed into economic success
