Abstract
Albania has made significant progress in the adoption of environmental legislation and policies on climate change. There is still room for improvement, however. A draft law on climate change has not yet been adopted (it is currently being debated) and there is a lack of subsidiary acts. The main challenges include adoption of the law on climate change and revision of the legal act establishing IMWGCC, aiming to strengthen its institutional role as the coordination mechanism for climate change.
