Abstract
"The more clearly we separate, the better we understand each other," the South Tyrolean politician Anton Zelger once said. In South Tyrol, the division is still known today, especially when it comes to school and culture. While culture had a separating character for a long time, today it often seems to become a cement between the language groups.
