Abstract

The cover shows a close up of a woven smart textile (rolled up to demonstrate bendability) that combines thin-film electronic devices and commercial integrated circuits with plastic fibers, as reported on p. 5178 by Kunigunde Cherenack and co-workers. The LEDs are actuated to show the inherent electronic functionality of the textile. One can also see the sensor stripes next to the LED stripes in the textile.
