Abstract
Nowadays, supply chain management (SCM) in energy production is driven by economic, environmental, and social impacts shifting the SCM of energy from an economic to an overall sustainability focus. A structured literature review has been conducted to analyse and facilitate these concerns. Results show substantial variance in the literature, e.g. the papers focus on single sustainability pillars or on a single SCM characteristic, such as only the material flows while neglecting information flows. The study’s main contribution is to identify the current key topics, emerging gaps, and related future research directions.
