Abstract
The city of Bolzano is experiencing a time of great change. Apparently suspended between past and future, rich in traditions that are rooted in the surrounding region, the city has historically constructed its identity and position at the crossroad of different cultures. Today, old and new issues are becoming the more pressing: issues such as the renewal of the political class, integration, urban structure, economic investments, the “autonomy” of the region, immigration are making even more evident the limits and contradictions of that very identity and image, and require it be reconsidered and redefined. BITTE R - a magazine - aims to be a tool for information, documentation and reflection on this ongoing process, on the difficulties and challenges of living between identity and change.
