- description: This is a Letter to the Editor in response to the article by Sujeet Indap and Ortenca Aliaj on the practise of private equity firms hiring junior analysts from investment banks. The article by Indap and Aliaj argues that most banks have not spoken up about the poaching of junior talent because they do not want to alienate their clients. However, I argue that there is likely a more nuanced explanation for their silence since investment banks themselves often benefit when their alumni move into private equity.
