Abstract
On the occasion of a current case in Germany, where the request of the Sorbian minority to have towns in the Sorbian settlement area signposted in both languages on the signs of highways and motorways was rejected (https://www.minoritymonitor.eu/case/Germany-refuses-to-provide-bilingual-motorway-signs-in-minority-languages), the South Tyrolean Ethnic Groups Institute prepared an expert opinion on the multilingualism of the traffic signs in the higher-ranked road network in Italy for the “Minority Monitor” of the FUEN (https://www.minoritymonitor.eu/).
