Abstract
Current forecasts indicate that food production needs to double by 2050 to meet the increasing global population demand. To boost food production while using fewer resources and reducing environmental impact, agri-food companies have started to adopt various digital technologies. This paper aims to analyse research on Industry 4.0 and agri-food sustainability using a bibliometric analysis of 1,373 papers published over the last 30 years. The results provide an overview of the most relevant scientific journals and papers, as well as the most productive and influential scholars, institutions, and countries. In addition, the analysis of keyword co-occurrence and cited references highlights the main research clusters and related sub-themes, offering valuable insights for future investigations.
