Abstract
Wolves have a poor public image and have been mercilessly killed in the past. But wolves are making a
return to Italy; the she-wolf, known as WBZ-F1, was followed by biologists for 18 months and captured on camera traps. WBZ-F1 settled in the Italian Alps, with a large home range straddling the border between South Tyrol and Trentino, having travelled from southern Italy and into Switzerland.
