Abstract
Goethe's estate is comprehensive, well archived and impressive in its diversity. In 2001, the Casa di Goethe Museum in Rome showed a series of trivial everyday objects: brushes, trouser buttons and strings which once belonged to the poet and novelist. Konstantin Grcic was in charge of selecting the objects and designing the exhibition.
