Abstract
The paper analyzes the legal frameworks and practical implementations of educational systems for minority languages in Italy, focusing on minority groups in the special regions of Aosta Valley and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, as well as in the ordinary regions. Article 6 of the Italian Constitution mandates the protection of linguistic minorities, but its implementation has been asymmetric, with significant differences in regulations depending on the minority language and its territory of settlement. This study highlights the complexities and varied strategies for minority language education within the Italian constitutional system.
