Abstract
Projects for efficiency improvement belong to the typical tasks of the BMW Inhouse Consulting. This article gives an overview on the role and the functions of a BMW Inhouse consultant in productivity improvement programs at Rover plants. The authors describe and discuss the assigned techniques for a straight and target-oriented project management as well as the applied methods for productivity improvement in assembly areas.
