Abstract
The past decade it is considered by many scholars as the new industrial revolution wave [1], mainly by the fact that technology has jumped out of the industry into the hands of the people. Materials are also starting to perform the same behaviour as more and more people are starting to deal with the creation of materials in a disruptive way. In this paper, we present the concept of Material Activism as a way to understand the growing phenomena that is allowing materials to democratize through a bottom-up approach.
