Abstract
As the United Kingdom begins to reckon with the June 23, 2016, vote to leave the European Union, Hofmeister examines the legal implications of Brexit, both for the European Union and the UK. Given the procedures and conditions of withdrawal, the possible scenarios for the future relationship between the EU and the UK all have substantial flaws, which could result in another prospect, wherein the UK would hold another referendum on the actual withdrawal agreement—not excluding a potential reversion of Brexit.
