Abstract
The purpose of this study is to shed light on the relationship between individual entre-preneurial orientation (IEO) and individual employee performance as well as on the relationship of the big five personality traits (Neuroticism/Emotional Stability, Open ness to Experience, Extroversion, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness) and indi vidual employee performance. Another aim of this article is the investigation of the moderating impact of these personality traits on the relationship between IEO and individual employee performance. To address the research questions, a survey with 107 employees from the administration as well as production sector was conducted in cooperation with the HR of a large enterprise located in Liechtenstein. The results of a hierarchical regression analysis demonstrate a positive relationship between indi vidual entrepreneurial orientation and individual employee performance. Further more, conscientiousness and agreeableness have a negative moderating impact on the IEO-performance relationship, whereas openness lor experience is a predictor of employee job performance.
