Abstract
The contribution illustrates and comments on some data concerning the impact and effects ofthe CLIL methodology in South Tyrol collected during the Kolipsi II project. Practiced in the schools of the Province since the 90s, CLIL is applied to both the second and foreign languages. Through an overview of the historical and socio-linguistic events that have marked and still mark the relations between the German- and Italian-speaking communities and the data on the language skills of a representative sample of students, we will provide food for thought for future research.
