Abstract
Globalization is perceived as a threat by many minorities. But it is precisely the leading medium of globalized times, the internet, that gives to minority languages previously unimagined possibilities for their use, documentation, and presentation. In this sense, the internet can even lead to the restoration of a sentiment of “homeland,” community, and locality, thus contributing to a “glocalization” in the best sense of the word.
