Abstract
The paper analyses some profiles of the right to study provided by Article 34 of the Constitution, in the framework of the fundamental constitutional principles, constitutional judgments and state and regional legislation. In particular, the paper, starting from the definition of this right and its unclear relationship with the right to education, aims to identify its contents and implications, emphasing the meaning as a general and fundamental social right for the development of the human personality and the overcoming of inequalities. In such a perspective, the notion of “capable and deserving students”, the so-call Curriculum dello studente, and the most recent regional legislation are examined.
