Abstract
Three characteristic cacti associations of the Northern Dry Forest of Peru, in the department of Piura are analyzed. The study area includes Las Lomas, Comunidad of Jaguay Negro and Coto de Caza El Angolo. Neoraimondia arequipensis var. gigantea, Armatocereus cartwrightianus, Monvillea diffusa and Opuntia macbridei are the main cacti species observed in association with other typical plants in this equatorial region with high temperatures and with a well defined dry season.
