Abstract
The EU integration process is facing several problems. The revival of the spirit of Europe requires a radical change of perspective. The European identity emerges as a superior system from a dynamic interaction of its multiple cultures, cities and regions. This was also the spirit of the ancient 'polis' and this is the idea in launching the initiative of POLIS EUROPA. The Euregio Tyrol-Southtyrol-Trentino makes it possible by being a typical 'locus conexionis'.
