Abstract
The volume originates from the observation that the trend towards a multi-sphere structure of government requires integrated forms of territorial management. In this context, asymmetry and its implementation by means of procedures, mechanisms and political diversity management instruments has become a key factor, inherent to the overall phenomenon towards decentralization.
