Abstract

Children Collaboration Phygital Artefacts Storytelling
Phygital artefacts—combine physical materials with digital technologies—supporting imaginative and embodied play in preschool contexts. This demo presents poli:bit, a toolkit that enables preschool children aged 4–6 and their educators to create and reconfigure phygital artefacts without writing code or assembling electronic circuits. The poli:bit toolkit supports the configuration of action–reaction interactions through a companion app and is grounded in long-term fieldwork with preschool children and educators.
