Abstract

The new trend in requesting more personalised and often more specialised travel, and the introduction of new technologies empowers tourists to gather information on flights, accommodation and destinations. Along with direct internet bookings that bypass the need for intermediaries, there is a resultant constant increase in the number of independent travellers.
