Abstract
The introduction of Industry 4.0 and the associated digital transformation present great challenges for many companies. Such a project poses a danger to companies insofar as the technologies themselves are very often available and applicable, but their successful introduction requires great skill in change management. At the same time, companies and their manufacturing systems should be designed in such a way that they are successful in the marketplace for the long term. At present, there are already efforts in the direction of methods, roadmaps and strategies for the introduction of Industry 4.0. However, only a few of these methods explicitly deal with the long-term sustainable implementation of Industry 4.0.. Therefore, the aim of this work is an analysis of current methods for the introduction of Industry 4.0, which focuses on long-term sustainability in the redesign of systems. A systematic literature review provides a methodology for identifying relevant work in the scientific literature. Subsequently, the methods found are compared with each other and limits and gaps in the literature are discussed. © IEOM Society International.
