Abstract
This paper focuses on a parametric analysis based on a literature review, that concerns the experimental activities carried out in the last ten years on small scale laboratory and pilot facilities. In particular three different sizes (1, 10, 100 kW) have been individuated in order to deeply characterize the studied data set. The aim of the present work is to infer some functional relations between the main parameters leading the gasification process and the energy output moving from the available experimental data. The proposed analysis allows to obtain a general point of view of the efficiency of the existing plants and enables to deduce some hypothesis on the performances of different type of gasifier (fixed and fluidized beds) and operative conditions (partial oxidation, steam gasification). Furthermore, this work allows also to map the "region" not yet investigate by the existing plants and this is useful to suggest some strategies to plan future projects both on theoretical and experimental activities to improve innovative gasification process conditions.
