Abstract
Music Education in Italy has an important tradition especially in the field of the practice of music. Over the past 20 years, the focus of the research is also revolted to the field of the Methodology studies, Teaching and the foundations of Pedagogy. Recent legislative measures relating to initiatives aimed at dissemination of the culture and practice of the Italian school sets the stage for a boost to incrementing and special training of music teachers that will assist and help teachers generalists. Also in 2009 the European Parliament had passed a resolution that recommended the obligation of musical education in schools of any level. Training in this field, the increased interest in the teaching of vocal and choral singing is one of the strengths for which orient themselves in the processes of teaching and learning at school, towards a process of long life learning, becoming a widespread experience and for all people. In the same direction the European Parliament had passed a resolution that recommended the obligation of musical education in schools of any level and in 2009 in Seoul (South Korea) was held the second World Conference on arts education, which was attended by about 800 delegates from 129 Member States, and was recommended particular attention of music education and creativity. The author proposes some reflections on the main lines of the educational experience of singing and choral singing in Italian Public Schools, with reference to the indications of the European Union.
