Abstract
The present contribution aims to analyze the different forms of first-person pronoun in Gardenese, a northern variety of Ladin, and to observe how these forms are explained in the grammars used in schools. We will investigate not only their functioning and their position with respect to the verb, but also their morphology, trying to contribute to the theoretical discussion of linguistics, through the analysis of spoken Gardenese from the corpus Kontatti. Successively, we will cast some light on how Gardenese grammar books deal with subject pronouns, and how this topic is approached within the multilingual teaching framework Integrated Linguistic Education at Ladin schools, where four languages are learnt from an early age (Irsara, 2017).
