Abstract

Artefacts Phygital Physical computing Preschool
In this work in progress, we propose a toolkit for preschool and primary school children, aged 5 to 8, to narrate stories with safe and screen-less smart artefacts, in collaboration. The toolkit can be adapted by older children, as well as preschool and primary school teachers themselves. After reviewing the existing literature and a series of contextual inquiries with domain experts, especially teachers, we plan to organize a series of workshops in pre-schools and schools. The main expected outcome is that children will engage and learn storytelling, together.
