Abstract
This work aims to determine the contribution of the individual design parameters to the building energy need and the correlation between the different variables in the building refurbishment perspective. The statistical analysis has been used in order to elaborate the results of an extended series of simulations on a residential sample of energy inefficient study-case and applying to them one or more retrofit actions, selected in accordance with the most restrictive law prescriptions and the common practices for the last decades in Veneto. The design solutions considered in the study are: the improvement of the thermal transmittance of opaque and transparent envelope and the solar properties of the glazings. The inferential statistical analysis has been useful to identify the predominant factors in each retrofitting context.
