Abstract

Description Logic Semantic web Legal ontology
In this article, we present an ontological approach to the legal field, based on an event top ontology, in particular in the management of crimes against life, and the calculus of the individual's punishment, based on the Brazilian context. We demonstrate how the underlying technologies of the Semantic Web can be used to classify the crimes of murder, and resolve situations when circumstances affect the legal cases.
