Abstract
The presentation describes the main challenges for open spaces in the Alps and explains gaps in spatial planning procedures in two of three cross- border case study regions. It gives good practice examples collected in the OpenSpaceAlps project to respond to the planning gaps for agricultural areas in the Alps.
