Abstract
This presentation compares four cases of transboundary biodiversity protection in Europe: the Julian Alps, the Scheldt Estuary, the ZASNET Meseta Ibérica, and the Baltic to Barents. It details their governance and participatory mechanisms, as well as main challenges and good practices. It concludes by identifying some transformative potential in the transboundary governance for biodiversity protection.
