Abstract
This presentation explores the role of Territorial Brands (TBs) within the context of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Macro-Region (EUSALP) and their potential alignment with circular economy principles. TBs, collective initiatives designed to promote locally produced foods, crafts, and services, offer a unique platform to address the challenges faced by small-scale producers in Alpine regions. Drawing on insights from the 100% Local project and discussions from the 2nd TB event, the presentation focuses on developing TBs in relation to EU circular economy regulations and various circular economy concepts. It highlights how TBs can act as catalysts for transitioning from linear to circular models, improving environmental impacts, and supporting regional development. By aligning with EU policies and adopting circular strategies, TBs can enhance their sustainability, authenticity, and economic value, thereby promoting resilient and sustainable products in the Alpine region.
