Abstract
The presentation gives an overview of two different approaches for ecological connectivity modelling and their application in international projects, in which of the Institute for Regional Development of Eurac Research was involved from 2008 to 2023. It presents shortly the GIS analysis with the structural approach in the AlpBioNet2030 project and focuses more deeper on the spatial GIS analysis of the DinAlpConnect project. The presentation concludes with the most important barriers for ecological connectivity in the Dinaric mountains.
