Abstract
The Villa Vigoni workshop 'The digital transition for minority language media in Italy and Germany: a knowledge exchange with European partners' served as an opportunity to address the challenges of digitalisation faced by the media of minority languages in Germany and Italy as well as their ‘kin minorities’ in neighbouring countries. Contributions from academics with a broader European perspective served as a comparison. The roundtable discussion ‘Challenges for print and broadcast MLM in Germany and Italy’ was held as part of the programme.
