Abstract
The presentation describes the state of art of ecological connectivity planning in the Alps. It firstly proposes a potential ecological network concept to harmonize ecological networks beyond regional and national boundaries. Secondly, it shows results of an expert survey on the most improtant anthropogenic pressures and barriers in the Alps and describes upcoming threats and opportunities for ecological connectivity by a policy analysis. Finally, the integration of these results into capacity building and training activities are described.
