Abstract

Ecological connectivity Alps spatial planning
The PlanToConnect project aims to enhance ecological connectivity across the Alpine region by creating a coherent network of green and blue infrastructures. The main objective is to improve planners' capacity to address connectivity gaps and threats through spatial planning and territorial policies. The contribution to the EUSALP meeting highlights the importance of harmonizing ecological network concepts across the Alps, showing planning gaps in existing connectivity concepts all over the Alps and in the PlantoConnect pilot regions. It show an Alps – wide landscape permeability model with priorities for interventions shows a regional apprication of the model. The contribution gives insights how these results are included in capacity building and training activities of the project. Meeting of EUSALP Action Group 7, Brdo pri Kranju and online, 14. 11. 2024.
