Abstract
The Ebike market is recording explosive growth, and we will show updated data. In this context, active mobility provided by the Ebike industry may play a significant role to decrease the environmental and social pressures generated by the mobility of inhabitants and tourists. Several local/regional authorities promote biking among inhabitants for short/medium travels (e.g., encouraging commuting by bicycle); as well as encourage cycle-tourism in many destinations as an alternative way to explore the territory. At the same time, the promotion of active mobility among inhabitants and tourists poses the question of optimal coexistence. For instance, in the main centres several inhabitants and tourists use the same cycling network and services either to reach the workplaces, schools and services or to visit the city and passing through during a longer excursion.
