Abstract
At this first international workshop of the ARPAF Project REDIAFOR, we wanted to reflect on the history of the Task Force on Multifunctional Forestry and Sustainable use of Timber as a cross-cutting initiative of five EUSALP Action Groups. We intended to draw attention on the events and discussions we had, for creating a certain sensitivity on the challenges forestry and wood industry are facing in the EUSALP region. Besides, we will also point out that the forest sector is lacking awareness for communicating its performance and the culture to participate in European governance processes.
