Abstract
Social media is an essential part of people's lives, and communication has become increasingly participatory, interactive, and multimodal. The FAIR principles are essential for digital preservation and archiving, with Findability & Accessibility already well covered technologically. To ensure Reusability to future researchers and other stakeholders, documenting the platform itself is essential for metadata collection during corpus collection. A network of interested stakeholders should help develop standards and best practices for documenting, collecting, and archiving social media data.
