Abstract
This presentation introduces the panel “Striking a balance between descriptive and prescriptive approaches to terminology” at the 12th EAFT Summit “Terminology Planning in Europe,” held in Innsbruck.
Its aim is to explain the key concepts that will be addressed in the panel and to show how terminology planning benefits from the interaction of bottom-up and top-down approaches.
