Abstract
CLARIN is a pan-European research infrastructure with a network of almost 70 technical centres from more than 20 member countries providing easy access to digital language data and tools. It provides a single-sign-on environment, a common resource discovery portal and a distributed knowledge infrastructure of 28 Knowledge Centres, one of which is the CKCMC.
The CKCMC offers expertise on language resources and technologies for Computer-Mediated Communication and Social Media. Its basic activities are to
* Give researchers, students, and other interested parties information about the available resources, technologies, and community activities
* Support modifying or publishing relevant resources and technologies and organize training activities
Support and facilitate community-building.
