Abstract
Transdisciplinary and transformative research, teaching, designing and doing poses new demands on scientific and design communities. What is needed are reflexive design principles and practices. This requires a different way of teaching and learning. Placed in the center of what we call “transdactics” is the interplay of dialogue, doing and reflection, in which very diverse competences and stakeholders work productively together, without avoiding conflicts. We, Kris Krois, founder of the Eco-Social Design Masters programme, and Daniela Gottschlich, lecturer of its Political Ecology course in 2016, have been talking a lot about this Masters programme in recent years. Below we share some of our evolving thoughts.
