Abstract
The chapter reports on a multi-year research project of the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. The project is dedicated to the approximately 150 manuscripts of the Cantus planus and Cantus fractus (11th-19th centuries) preserved in South Tyrolean archives and libraries.
