Abstract

This chapter appraises the role of sustainable development at the intersection between the rights of indigenous peoples and the management of biodiversity under current international law. In particular, this contribution aims to understand to what extent sustainable development may help to solve conflicts between the rights of indigenous peoples under human rights law and the international regime on the protection of biodiversity.
