Abstract
This paper does not explicitly investigate the notion of border, but those asking after a dream called Europe or after Europe as a dream have no choice but to take into account the experience of the border. That#s why in this text I'll be dealing with the different experiences of the border with respect to the following questions: how do we actually perceive the border as a sensorial phenomenon? Can the border be denoted by signs or symbols, or is any phenomenon referring to the notion of border a construction? What role is played by physical and cultural contexts? Are borders things? Which image of the border are handed down to us, which ones acquire and which ones are merely brought to us by the media?
